My group (Jason Phai, Kerry He and Daniel Ah Mew) and I decided to create a website that would help Japanese students and teachers alike, to increase their knowledge about Japan, its culture and its language. First, we were confused as to what subject we would base our project on, and after a unanimous voting session, we decided upon Japanese. The other subjects were Science, Maths and English/TLC. Most of us wanted to do Japanese, while a few others wished to do another subject, be we made our decision by considering the votes of the majority. We were satisfied with our choice.
After we chose Japanese, we came up with a few ideas, as to what we could add on our website. Our audience would be Junior School of Brentwood Secondary College, and after deciding that, we wrote our proposal and presented it to Ms Crow (our teacher), who accepted our ideas. We then created a plan of the first few pages of our website, which I am quite pleased as to how it turned out.
We have decided to interview a Japanese teacher (Ms Wang) who will provide us with feedback, which we will use to make our webpages better. She will give us information with what she thinks the students will enjoy. Next week, we will finish making our plans and will learn how to create our website, as we don't have a lot of knowledge on that. Overall, we worked very well over the first few periods, and we completed quite a lot of work - we decided on what to do, wrote our proposal and created plans. I am happy with my group and I hope that the next few weeks will go as well as this one, and that our website will turn out to be a great one.
